About Sound Shelter
Sound Shelter is an independent audio review site built for listeners comparing headphones, IEMs, DACs, amplifiers, and compact speakers.
What we cover
Sound Shelter covers personal and compact audio gear: wireless and wired headphones, IEMs, DACs, amplifiers, Bluetooth listening, desktop speakers, and the accessories that affect fit and daily use.
How we evaluate
Our reviews start with the listening situation. A commute headset, late-night open-back pair, desk DAC, and compact speaker all solve different problems, so we weigh sound, comfort, isolation, setup friction, warranty, and price differently.
We publish clear verdicts, but we also show the trade-offs behind them. When a model is strong for calls but weaker for long listening, or excellent in a quiet room but poor for shared spaces, the recommendation says so.
Commercial transparency
Sound Shelter may earn affiliate commission when readers use merchant links. Those relationships do not decide coverage, rankings, scores, or product placement. The editorial team can recommend waiting, buying a cheaper model, or avoiding an offer when that is the better reader outcome.
